The Football Association of Moldova (FMF) has continued its work to improve coaching standards by staging the country's 16th UEFA C licence course in Chisinau.
Held at the CSCT Buiucani stadium in the Moldovan capital, the course was attended by 23 coaches from across the country who are involved in youth football. The participants had to complete theoretical and practical sessions as well as take part in group discussions, before sitting exams at the end.
FMF general secretary Nicolae Cebotari made a welcome speech at the opening of the event, while the national association also provided lecturers for the course including technical director Ghenadie Scurtul, his assistant Svetlana Ceban and Moldova Under-19 coach Serghei Cleşcenco.
Among the other speakers were Alexander Viblov, director of the federal coaching academy, and Iana Pogarevici and Natalia Ceban from the Moldovan branch of the Open Fun Football Schools (OFFS) programme.
Under the UEFA Grassroots Charter, a C level education affords coaches a minimum 60 hours of tuition, culminating in a final exam.
