Chelsea FC and FC Bayern München have confirmed details of their media open days ahead of this season's UEFA Champions League final, to be played at the Fußball Arena München on Saturday 19 May.

Bayern will open the doors at their Saebener Strasse training complex on Thursday 3 May, while Chelsea's facility in Cobham, Surrey will welcome the world's media on Tuesday 15 May.

Bayern's media day will primarily focus on serving the international media, and will feature simultaneous translation in English and German. It will start with a fully open training session at 10.00 local time. From 13.00, coach Jupp Heynckes will be available to all sectors of the media, along with captain Philipp Lahm and team-mates Manuel Neuer, Arjen Robben and Bastian Schweinsteiger. Media wishing to attend should complete a registration form on the club's official website and fax it to the Bayern press office by 18.00CET on Tuesday 1 May.

Chelsea's event will kick off with a training session at 10.30 local time, to be followed by a mixed zone with players. Manager Roberto Di Matteo will then hold a press conference at 12.45. Media wishing to attend should email media@chelseafc.com before 17.00 local time on Friday 11 May.

The two teams have also confirmed their pre-match media activity in Munich on Friday 18 May. Heynckes and two players will attend Bayern's press conference at 13.00CET at the Fußball Arena München, with an open training session to follow at Saebener Strasse at 15.30.

Di Matteo and two players will then lead Chelsea’s conference at the stadium at 17.45, with the team's open training session to follow at the venue from 18.30 to 19.30.

Media activities at the Fußball Arena München are restricted to media accredited for the UEFA Champions League final itself. Simultaneous translation will be provided for the press conferences.
